Voices from Our Community

These are testimonies of transformation, of hope renewed, and lives reshaped through collective compassion in Surat.

"I used to carry bricks after school. After Samvedana gave me textbooks and a tutor, I scored 94% in boards. Today I want to be an engineer."

Ramesh (14) from Adajan slum was enrolled in our weekend tutoring program. Samvedana provided his school kit and paid exam fees. He topped the district in Mathematics in 2024.

"Pehle main kisi par nirbhar thi. Ab mere paas khud ka kaam hai, meri apni kamai hai. Samvedana ne mujhe zindagi di."

Savitaben (38), a widow in Varachha, joined our 3-month tailoring program. With a donated sewing machine, she now earns ₹12,000/month from her home boutique — fully supporting her three children.

"The doctor said my son needed surgery or he would lose vision. We had no money. Samvedana paid for everything in 48 hours."

Rajan Bhai's son Harsh (7) needed an urgent eye surgery costing ₹45,000. Samvedana's emergency medical fund was triggered within 24 hours. Harsh today has full vision restored.
